ANOTHER FLIER KILLED



Felix Bailey was the second man from the parish to die after joining the recently-formed Royal Flying Corps.

48) Second Lieutenant Felix Charles BAILEY 46th Squadron Royal Flying Corps.

Felix Charles Bailey was the son of John Andrew and Grace Julia Bailey of 11 York Street, Twickenham, Middlesex. He was born in Ash. He joined the Royal Engineers in October 1914 and obtained a commission in the Royal Flying Corps in October 1917.
He was killed in action in an aeroplane crash, on 28th March 1918, at the age of 21. He is buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery extension (plot V1.F.2.) near Arras.
